Joe Q. Bretz, Brent Whitney, John Schneider and John Bryan lead the project, which includes films and series.
Two films and a TV series are three powerful, expensive and difficult to produce products. For many it would be a success to make only one of them, but for Psycho De Lux Media they are just the beginning of its idyll with Mallorca. Starting this spring, this American production company will shoot on the island the horror films Watch them die and Las cuevas, a remake of the Spanish film of the same title, and later the series El chamán de Wisconsin. The different productions will bring well-known names to film in Mallorca, of which two have already been confirmed: John Murray, brother of the well-known actor Bill Murray, on the one hand, and David Arquette, renowned actor known for his role in the Scream saga.
The people in charge of Psycho De Lux are, in turn, people with reputed experience in the world of film, television and entertainment. One of them is producer and screenwriter Joe Q. Bretz, originally from Wisconsin and who has been living on the Island for several years with his wife, model Lisa Charlott, who is also part of the team. His partner, Brent Whitney, an entrepreneur and technology investor, has made significant contributions in the media.
In addition, producer and screenwriter John Schneider, brother of well-known actor and comedian Rob Schneider, Peter Block and Cory Neal of production company A Bigger Boat, and former Metro Goldwyn Meyer national television president John Bryan, also join the project along with other important professionals such as the Sevillian artist Markos Keyto, who has worked on a multitude of film projects as art director, costume and production design, and the Mallorcan creative director Jorge Aleix, who holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. Bretz is, precisely, the creator of the series to be shot in Mallorca on a private estate with actor David Arquette, who will join other well-known American and European faces who are in negotiations and will be involved in both casting and directing.
For his part, Schneider is the executive producer of all the titles and, in addition, he signed the script of the first of the different productions to be shot, Watch them die, whose production will start in March and which will star the actor John Murray, for whom "I wrote a role expressly", he said exclusively to Ultima Hora. About Murray's character, who will be called Pete, Schneider explained that he is a tough and hardened man from California who will be involved in an adventure to restore an old farm that hides, under its benign facade, many nightmarish horrors.
